Metal
Knocking Sound / Metal Vibrating Sound from the
rear bonnet/boot. |
- Close
your rear bonnet
- Go
inside your car and pull down your rear passenger
seat
- Check
the 2 metal bar behind the clarion CD changer.
- If
they are touching each other, get something
like rubber to separate them. By right, those
metal bar shouldn't touch to each other, there's
a small gap in between.
-
If the bars are not touching each other, check
this>you should see there's a small nut/bolt
(part of the seat belt module for the RHS rear
passenger). Your metal bar is very near to that
nut.
-
Use a double-sided tape to cover the metal bar,
which is near to that nut/bolt. Even if it vibrates
and hit the nut/bolt, it won't make any metal
knocking sound. U can use anything that's soft
such as rubber to cushion it
- DONE

Metal
knocking sound from steering on uneven road or Metal
knocking sound from the steering when taking corner
on uneven road so called the carrefour syndrome
|
Go
to any SC and tell them the problem. They need to
change your Power Steering Return Hose. Most of
the WAJA owner here changed their Power Steering
Hose and problem solved. |
| 3. |
Doors/Bonnet/Boot
lid difficult to close. |
Go
to SC and the mechanic will adjust the "C" bracket
for you. Normally problem will be solved by just
adjusting the 'C' bracket |
| 4. |
Alarm
malfunction/ alarm trigger for no-reason. |
Ask
the SC mechanic to check/adjust the boot sensor
for the boot/rear bonnet. For temporary solution,
slam a bit to close the boot lid. It's the boot
sensor that not in correct position or maybe other
door sensors. |
| 5. |
One
of the Door is opened but the light won't lit on. |
Faulty
door switch, go to SC and ask the mechanic to change
for u. Few mins job. |
| 6. |

Can
be fixed at SC |
| 7. |
Radio
jump to another station in certain area. |
Make
sure you do not have 'AF' function turn on. Read
the manual. |
| 8. |
Common
wajachestra- 'chit chit',"krog krog','klong klong'
sounds from your waja |
Spray
WD40 on all the joints, for those joints under your
car, u need mechanic from SC to lift up your car
and spray some WD40. If the WD40 does not fix the
problem, then you must tackle where the specific
sound comes from. |
| 9. |
Part
of the wajachestra- cricket sound from the air-con
|
Ask
the SC to change the air-con blower. For temporary
solution, spray some silicon spray into the air
-con blower (Note: silicon spray NOT the WD40) |
| 10. |
Alignment
out |
Proton
common problem .DO NOT expect that a brand new car
will have accurate alignment. Spend some money and
get your alignment done in a good tyre shop. Don't
get cheated by those mechanics saying your camber
is out and need to change the camber screw. Read
the thread regarding the camber screw for more details.

Reverse
sensor not responsive/sensitive |
Use
your own eyes and judgement. Bare in mind that WAJA
reverse sensor is not like the wira, WAJA reverse
sensor is a bit dumb, will only warn u after some
delays |
| 12. |
A
'klong' sound everytime you start your engine and
make a 1st move during the morning. |
It's
the brake caliper sound. Start your engine, release
your hand brake, let your car roll a bit before
you make a move |
| 13. |
"Chit
chit" sound coming from the rear cabin, most likely
from the door or the absorber |
It's
the bracket that holds your handbrake cable is broken
(poor welding from the Proton). That's why the broken
welding part will scratch on your car body and making
this metal screeching sound, "chit chit". Solution
for the SC is they'll take out the screw and bracket
that tied your handbrake cable |
| 14. |
Spongy
brake. |
While
car is stationary on a flat road, press the handbrake
button/knob (don't release it) pull the handbrake
to the max/up and put it down again, do the same
thing again and again for 10 to 15 times. The caliper
(rear) will self adjust. This will make the brake
more responsive but not 100% solve the problem.
If you flush your brake fluid and change it, it
will make your brake more responsive too (provided
the mech. knows how to do it in the correct way
by pumping out the air bubbles). Another reason
of spongy brake can be the brake pad too. |

Extra
"sound system" in your car. Either "chit chit" or
"klak klak" or other "wajachestra". |

inside your car such as steering lock, pedal

- If
the sound come from the boot, take out everything
from the boot.
- Drive
your car to some uneven road to hear the sound

the sound disappear after that means one of
the thing u've put inside there make the noise.

Main
culprit: The rubber washer on the fuel cap. Change
it. |
| 17. |
Waja
farting sound coming out from the back of the car
whenever you park your car. |
