Here`s my review
of the new PE Glenmarie SC. Tried to call them up on thursday
to setup an appointment, but somehow i couldn`t get through.
Well, i tried again on Friday and a clerk answered. She told
me that "no need to make an appointment, first come first
serve. We open at 7.30am for registration". I said great!
probably because the place is still new (might have to make
appts when the SC starts rolling full steam). Picked up my
Syntium SL1000 with the coleman thingy later that day.
Saturday morning
comes, here are the details.
0745
Arrived at the SC, parked my car at the 1st parking grid (cars
line-up here before taken inside)
0750
Register at the counter, and waited for the workers to start
working - which is at 0830.
0751-0830
A few cars already came, but easilt not more than 10 cars.
Most of them are Wajas. Mechanics and service technicians
reporting for work. En Anuar himself was tidying up the place.
0840
My car is being brought in. The Service Advisor (SA) called
me up and we went to the car for detail service job. Similar
to sec 13 pj. Told him, besides the usual 20k service (use
my own engine oil), i had a few complains, my right side door
needs to be aligned properly and the back right door (passenger)
can`t shut properly and doesn`t sound secure. Also, front
right fender lining is loose, and there`re some carbon deposits
on top of the battery.

My car enters the workshop. There she is being taken care
of .

My car is done. Checked all my complains. All doors seems
to be easier to close now. They have no stock for the front
right fender lining. Will come some other time for it. On
close inspection, i see some smudges (maybe from oily hands,
or just plain dirty hands) on some parts of the car. Doesn`t
bother me cause my car needs a wash anyway. Nothing that can`t
be washed off. Quite satisfied with the overall service, but
still some things can be improved, such as staffs having cigarrete
breaks every now and then.

Side Note :
While my car was being service, i had a chat with En Anuar.
I also brought some questions on part replacement such as
the `power steering hose` problem. I told him that alot of
WPC members haven`t had their power steering hoses replaced
and was wondering can he do something about it. Well, he do
recognised WPC and said that an arranged replacement session
can be made. He`ll try to get the parts and will try to solve
a few cars at one shot. That`s what he did at Puchong SC where
he was from. Most of the staffs here are experienced people
previously working at Jln 227, Sec 13 and Puchong SCs. Since
the SC is still new, their Parts stocks haven`t been sorted
out properly. Anyway during the service, their computers were
offline, so there`s no way to check their current stocks except
manually.
Another thing
i asked them whether they accept EON cars or not. Surprisingly,
En Anuar himself said that, they accept even EON cars for
servicing. Service or even Warranty Claims!! I bet some of
you are quite happy to hear this. Anyway, call them up and
enquire this personally just to be on the safe side.
So, around
10.40, i happily left the SC, went to Maybank HQ in Shah Alam,
and scraped my front bumper!!! . Immediately went to Kwong
fai and did some touchup. Rushed back home, then rushed back
out again to office. What a day...
