Highlights
Overall
R&H Enhancement on stability & road holding as well as ride
comfort with bigger tire size fully enveloped the wheel housing,
by giving better proportion also an excellence refine suspension
& rubber bushing to absorb the various driving condition without
difficulties.
Refine Noise,
Vibration and Harshness (NVH) and reduced substantially through
various measures at all speed range, typically continental
experience.A
host of safety features have been incorporated in this model
including Air Bag and a better all-disc brake system with
standard ABS and Brake Assist to boosts braking power during
emergency braking to reduce the braking distance. The ABS
brake system is complemented by Electronic Brake Force Distribution,
which optimize brake forces between the all the wheel according
to the load on board.
An anti-theft
safety feature introduces, as standard by applying engine
immobilizer system that prevents engine operation via a strategy
known as "Software Lock" (or Encrypted Immobilization). The
Electronic Control Unit (ECU) of engine is protected using
engine immobiliser's key-fork that encoded with 2nd generation
rolling code to avoid duplication. This is in-line with the
EUROPEAN DIRECTIVE Regulation 95
Powertrain
/ Engine
A new powerplant generation comes with brand new 4-cylinder
DOHC 16-valve engine 1.8-litre. This new engine main attraction
is a Variable Valve Timing (VVT) system that enables the inlet
valves to have two timing behaviors or patterns. The objectives
are to improve the filling of the combustion chambers with
fuel/air mixtures and torque output at mid-range engine speed.
A mechanism, which increase power and torque, enhances fuel
efficiency and reduce exhaust emission levels. VVT, which
has already proven technology, enables the engine to perform
at its best because the valve timing is continuously altered
to suit any driving condition.
When the accelerator
pedal is floored beyond 90% travel while engine is revving
between 1300rpm and 4250rpm, the inlet camshaft advances the
inlet valve timing by 16 degrees. The engine employs a helical
spigot and a pressurized hydraulic system to vary the valve
timing within 500 milliseconds. This new engine has a higher
maximum power of 88kW & 169 Nm torque available between 2000rpm
and 4500rpm, and accompanied by reductions of fuel consumption
and CO2 emission to pull the body weight at all speed range.
The engines include roller cam followers to reduce valve train
friction, static ignition with "pencil" coils, hollow camshafts
(a weight reduction of 800gms as compared to chilled camshaft)
and a compact air filtration system mounted on top of the
engine.
Another advance
feature in this new engine is Electronic Throttle Body Control
a.k.a. Drive-by-Wire. This device adjusts the throttle position,
which determines the flow of air and fuel into the engine
instantaneously for better response. As a result, reliability
and driveability are also improved because the conventional
mechanical throttle is no longer used.
Powertrain
/ Transmission
A new generation Auto-Adaptative transmission (no manual
transmission is available at this upon the time) is mated
to the new engines, for better response, smoother shifting
and better mileage. This auto-adaptative transmission unit
aims to provide the feel of a manual gearbox to the more sporty
drivers without the need to activate any "sport" or "economy"
buttons.
Auto-Adaptative
function of driver wishes, road profile and driving condition.
The gear control activates downshifting during hard braking
into a corner or under prolonged actuation of the brake pedal,
shifting lock during quick accelerator release and kick down
by software strategy (no switch).
The fuzzy logic
is also able to adapt to road gradient styles, thereby contributing
to greater fun and fuel economy with safety in mind. This
electronically controlled transmission also has overdrive
switch, a feature, which helpful for the driver to change
the gear position during overtaking or taking hard corner
in order to maintain the road grip.
