Terima Kasih kepada Rizs Management kerana menaja keperluan makanan untuk fundrive kali ini. Terima kasih juga kepada comm Nelly sekeluarga & members Hairi sekeluarga yang bertungkus-lumus berbelanja dan menyediakan keperluan makan & minum. Terima kasih juga kepada semua members yang bekerjasama membawa semua peralatan, keperluan dan makan-minum.

Antara members yang turut serta dalam fundrive kali ini ialah VP rizal, comm Nelly & family, comm zain & family (sj_queen), members hairi & family, bob, peidot, zacks, ewan ricky, wan racing, hasrol, boy, tawon & family, adin, isma & family dan rakan-rakan kepada members…

Semua members berkumpul di Petronas Taman Sutera, Jalan Johor Bahru-Air Hitam pada jam 8.00 pagi sehingga semua members berkumpul. Jam 9.30 pagi, konvoi mula bergerak ke Gunung Belumut. Konvoi berhenti di Kulai untuk berjumpa dengan lain-lain members yang menyertai konvoi sebelum sampai ke Gunung Belumut pada jam 11.45 pagi. Konvoi didahului oleh Hairi selaku Zero dan vp rizal selaku Last Car dalam cuaca hujan..Konvoi melalui jalan Johor Bahru-Kulai-Sg.Sayong-Bandar Tenggara-Kahang Barat-Ulu Dengar-Gunung Belumut.

Sebaik sampai di Gunung Belumut, acara BBQ sambil makan-makan segala juadah yang ada dan mandi-manda sehingga jam 5.00 petang. Bermacam-macam aktiviti dan gelagah peserta dapat disaksikan…

Jam 6.00 petang, selepas sessi bergambar sebahagian peserta berkonvoi ke BP Mall, Batu Pahat dan sampai pada jam 7.45 malam untuk bersantai ( rengit coffee ) dan membeli-belah sehingga jam 10.00 malam sebelum bertolak ke Johor Bahru melalui PLUS.

Aktiviti : Mandi-manda, makan-makan, menghayati keindahan ciptaan tuhan dan apa-apa aktiviti yang tidak menyelahi undang-undang dan mencemarkan nama baik WPCM.

Konvoi akan bergerak lebih kurang jam 8:30 pagi.

Sesiapa yang berminat dan ada free time boleh join dan letakkan nama di sini.

Semua ahli WPCM seantero Malaysia dijemput hadir untuk memeriahkan suasana dan pada newbies yang berminat nak menyertai kenikmatan Fundrive bersama WPCM juga dialu-alukan untuk menyertai Fundrive ini.

Mount Belumut

Mount Belumut (Gunung Belumut), standing at 1,010 metres (3,314 ft), is located in the state of Johor, Malaysia. The trek can be completed in one day, while the average climber would take two days one night. For the average climber, the climb to the summit takes 5 to 6 hours and the return to the foot (by the same route) takes 3 to 4 hours.

Before reaching the summit of Gunung Belumut, climbers will first pass by a ‘false summit’, where camping overnight is possible in fair weather conditions. From the ‘false summit’, it’s about half-an-hour’s trek to the summit. A huge boulder, named the Crown Rock, sits on the summit. The boulder got its name because it looks like a giant crown.^[1]

Due to its popularity, some parts of the trail have been badly eroded. The trail is under repair and closed to climbers from April to October 2008. The campsite is also dirtied by inconsiderate climbers who leave their rubbish behind.

To get to Gunung Belumut, one has to get to Kluang, and take a cab from the bus terminal to Belumut (or Gunung Lumut as it is known locally).

ELEPHANT’S EXPERIENCE CHARITY DRIVE 2009

Drive to Kuala Gandah Elephant Orphanage Sanctuary Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, June 10, 2009 – Waja Performance Club of Malaysia (Ros No. 873) is calling all the owners of Proton Waja to join a Charity Drive to the Kuala Gandah Elephant Orphanage Sanctuary Malaysia. The charity drive is scheduled on June 27, 2009.

The objectives of the charity drive are to get as much as possible the press coverage for the sanctuary in order to help in their plight of saving the endangered and fully protected Malaysian Elephant. Apart from that, the proceeds from the sponsorships and fees from the charity drive will be channeled directly to the sanctuary.

The trip is joint-organizet between Waja Performance Club of Malaysia and Monash University Malaysia. There will be overseas student from Monash University joining the charity drive together with the Waja Owners.

Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Centre, or popularly referred to as the Elephant Orphanage Sanctuary, is located within the bio diversified-rich and protected Krau Game Reserve & was set up in 1989 under the DWNP (Department of Wildlife & National Parks, Malaysia), manned by the Elephant Capture & Translocation Unit. The only one of its kind in Malaysia, the team is dedicated to locating, subduing and then translocating problem elephants from areas where their habitats are constantly being encroached by plantations.

Established in 2001, Waja Performance Club is an online based community where the Proton Waja owners get together, exchange views and do things together. Over the years, the club has organized numerous activities for its members such as educational factory visits, driving workshops, holiday trips and fundrives.
